    Washifornia Letterbox
There are three entrances to the Crescent Beach Nature Reserve, but only one has a trail. The trail is called Woodland Trail and the kiln was almost invisible because of the tall grass. My compass may be broken, but the degrees didn't seem to make sense. Easy to find the tree by the description though. Tips for other seekers: look for the 3 large firs in the meadow clearing about 150 steps from the trailhead, on the right.

(Continue on Crescent Beach. Turn right on Olga Rd.)

    11:11 11-11-11 Letterbox
Cascade Lake-The 2.7 mile hike around Cascade Lake is an easy walk with little elevation gain. The trail sticks next to the water the majority of the hike.

Cascade Falls-Park Park at the marked trailhead about 1/4 mile down on the Mt. Constitution Rd. Cascade Falls are found by hiking down to Cascade Creek, first arriving at Rustic Falls, then heading right (downstream) for another 1/4 mile where the trail winds down to the base of the falls.

Mt. Constitution-Road to the top at 2400 Ft. Mount Constitution was named by Charles Wilkes during the Wilkes Expedition of 1838-1842. Wilkes' named Orcas Island "Hull Island", after Commodore Isaac Hull, the commander of the USS Constitution, who won fame after capturing the British warship Guerriere in the War of 1812. Like many of the names Wilkes' gave, the name "Hull" was replaced with "Orcas" by Henry Kellett in 1847 while reorganizing the British Admiralty charts. The three-masted heavy frigate USS Constitution was nicknamed "old Ironsides" and it is assumed that Mount Constitution was named after this vessel.
